BlastMetriX is an advanced solution for designing and planning blasts in mining and quarrying.

It provides tools for analyzing drill patterns, including the heat mapping of borehole deviations to visualize differences between planned and actual drillhole orientations. Using images, the software can create accurate 3D models of both surface and underground blast sites for volume calculations or fragmentation analysis. The system delivers rapid blast outcome results and provides immediate feedback through KPI tracking.

Bench Face Profiling

BlastMetriX enables detailed planning of blasts in a full 3D environment by creating drilling plans and transferring them to real-world applications. The results include objective 3D documentation of the blast site, geometry, profiles, and burden information for each borehole. It also visualizes current burden distribution over a bench face, highlighting risky areas with user-defined corridors.

Blast Planning

BlastMetriX simplifies complex blast design by allowing users to input basic geometric parameters such as burden, spacing, and borehole inclination. The system automatically places boreholes, assigns rock mass blocks, and provides detailed profiles, sectional areas, and minimum burden diagrams. Borehole locations are visualized in 3D and plan views, with options for exporting to customized reports and various data formats.

Blast Analysis

Conduct comprehensive quality control with BlastMetriX by analyzing blasts directly on 3D models before, after, and post-mucking. It supports bank and heap volume estimations and integrates with the FragMetriX software for automatic fragmentation analysis to determine the particle size distributions of blasted and fragmented rock. By capturing data from each blast, BlastMetrix facilitates review of past performance and development of improvements.

Blast Optimization

Enhance blast data management and KPI tracking with the optional Commander module. This software expands BlastMetriX’s capabilities by managing data from multiple sites, providing detailed KPI analysis, and generating standard reports. The Commander module facilitates easy information collection across operations, which supports quality control and continuous improvement of blast designs based on specific site needs.
